Air-dry density: 0.61g/cm³, oily, soft and mild, the wood property is stable with good drying performance. Deformation, wrap or cracking are rarely seen. It is durable. It has good adhesiveness and easy to be coated. The planed surface has subtle gold line and spot, shining even without any coating.
In history, silkwood is used specially in royal palace, buildings of a few temples and furniture as a rare material.
